Born in Estonia, Jon Veinberg earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fresno State, and he enjoyed a long career in mental health. He studied poetry with Philip Levine at Fresno State, and he went on to earn an MFA from UC Irvine. He passed away in 2017.

A small number of hand-assembled chapbooks remain from a one-time run of 250 copies, designed and printed by Eugene Zumwalt and Christopher Buckley at The Zumwalt Press, Summer 1980. Americana Williamsburg Blue covers, Strathmore Beau Brilliant Del Monte end sheets, and Pyramid Dawn Gray Felt text were used. Hand-set Bodoni types were used throughout.
